The day has arrived when Google opened the curtain from the long awaited mystery of naming Android N, Google buzzed on social channels including Twitter, and Snapchat that the next and the latest version of Android name will be Android Nougat. It was the first time when Google announced the name of the Android N version publicly.
When Google introduced Android N features and asked for suggesting names for the same version, we posted an updated regarding some new features that will be covered by this latest version.

People around the world suggested various desserts names including Nutter Butter, Nerds, Necco Wafers, Nutella and one Indian dessert name – Nankatai.
Google revealed some other suggested names, though it didn’t disclose that if Nougat was one of the top choices in its pick-a-name user contest. Now we have to wait until Nougat is actually released sometime this fall.
