Android 7.1.1 Update: The Sweetest of Nougat!

Android Nougat has already proved to be one of the smartest attempts by Google to take human-science to the next level of prominence in the OS space. Now, as we see the new Nougat update coming in with advanced user-decisive features, it becomes all the more apparent that it is going to make it reach the best we have seen for Android.

Android 7.1.1 gets a decent hike in features and a nice facelift to perfectly team-up with Pixel’s interactive details – allowing you enough improved ways to express and communicate better.

Besides being able to perform more steadily and sharply, the new version allows more ways to communicate through an advanced line of emoji. And as announced earlier this year, these emoji promote gender equality, with both men and women representing different moods, possessions and professions quite likewise. So, with this, now you can see even a man getting a haircut and a woman playing a sport.

Also with this update, now you have a larger set of icons and media support to help you emote and express better. Stuck in a heavy traffic? Just pick one Blocked Traffic GIF using the embedded search facility and send it across directly from your keyboard! This can be done through all supported platforms like Google Allo, Google Messenger and Hangout.

With this new update, you are going to get handier access to the app features with nifty shortcuts (just like iPhone’s popular 3D touch). Which means you can simply launch actions for your favorite app long-pressing its icon placed on your screen. With that, just check out for which restaurant is nearest to your current location by hitting a search on Google Maps directly from the app icon.

Among other major tweaks, The Google phones would be able to get restarted from the shutdown menu itself while the Quick Toggles bar will come with additional elements like Wi-Fi and Brightness. On the top of all material updates, this update would bring along a host of quality enhancements related to performance and user experience.

Today, and for several weeks to follow, the full line of Nexus and the Pixel (including the Pixel XL) series along with General Mobile 4G (Android One) will get an over the air (OTA) software update to Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

Expect to receive the updates on your phone anytime soon!
