One screech is not enough; there should be at least ten’s – and they should get your attention. A single game is boring, try 2-3 at once for every team, and participation is voluntary.
As the cafeteria rattled with the hustle-bustle of teams, HR was tracing for the right moment to start with the right people in the right places, as if picking up the right accessories that go with the right costume and right occasion, from a nearby marketplace!
It started with a patriotic spirit, celebrating the birthday of ‘Father of The Nation’ alias ‘Bapu’ alias ‘Mr. M.K. Gandhi’ who will never retire from our thoughts and lives. We had a flurry of questions, which made us relive his acts of wisdom, patriotism, non-violence, and integrity.
And then, the enthused attendees got all revved up – lending themselves up for a ‘Flag Making’ activity.
The back-to-school playtime experience had a lot of variables; As HR revealed a slew of forthcoming activities, a quiz on Bollywood, followed by a blindfolded musical chair at its occasional weekend activity, the conventional environment turned gossipy, unfolding fervour and excitability amongst colleagues, everyone opened up to participating and relishing every moment.
As it digressed cardinally with the setting sun, this small weekend of fun gave a little pep in the step, penned for the month ahead, and became one of the most enduring memories.
Re-introduction and coming together is the most precious gift an organization can give to its employees. A cultural union allows its prized inhabitants to prosper in its present habitat, as it has done in the past, ensuring its long-term survival. Cheers!
