Along With the iOS 8, Apple all Set to Launch its Redesigned Mac OS X

The word new can be associated with Apple without any second thoughts as such. Speculations are being made that the Cupertino based technical giant is all set to unveil its new products at the Worldwide Developers Conference which  will be held in the upcoming month of June. There have been reports that Apple will be introducing the changes and updates which are being incorporated to its iOS and the OS X. It will be interesting to notice the refreshed version of Apple’s desktop operating system which,in the recent years, failed to grab eyeballs as all the attention used to be concentrated over the advancements attained by the iOS.

As 9to5Mac’s Mark Gurman states, there will be considerable modifications in the overall design of the OS X which would provide it with the most appealing interface, since its launch in March 2001. The new look of OS X is expected to be based extensively on the profound alliance of the latest iOS with a wide variety of features. Although the artistic adjustments will barely bother the foundation of OS X.

Ostensibly, Apple will be continuing the trend of incorporating certain features of the iOS into its desktop OS. The new OS X 10.10 has been codenamed as Syrah which will have more white space, sharper corners and toggles similar to the iOS 7. The design of the OS X 10.10 can be expected to be a bit more flat which would enhance the appeal of the Mac OS as similar to the iOS. Despite of the union of features among the two different interfaces, Apple has strained over the fact that both the platforms will continue to bear their exclusive identities.

Talking about the iOS 8, Gurman continuous to assert over the previously hyped rumors which assure the introduction of new apps like TextEdit, Healthbook and Preview. We can also expect transitions in Siri and iCloud as well.  Some of the discussed features might face a post launch release as the developers responsible for enhancing the iOS properties have been switched over to work upon the upcoming OS X 10.10. A rumor similar to this was spread last year when it was stated that Apple’s OS X team was constantly working over the iOS 7.

Additionally, the availability of a new Apple TV which was buzzed to be launched alongside might as well get postponed. According to 9to5MAC, an all new set-top box and an overhaul of the Apple TV software are in progress, but both the projects are being handled separately. One can anticipate a huge software makeover in the older Apple TVs in coming times. Gurman has emphasized over the priority of the new set-top box which has already gained a huge amount of speculation around the globe.

Apple is planning to leave no stone unturned when it launches the OS X as it wants it to be the major affair of the WWDC in June’14. MacWorld hints that the demonstration of the key features of the Mac OS X 10.10 will be carried out during Tim Cook’s keynote speech.
