Konstant Annual Picnic: A Small Calorie Capsule for the Tiresomely Long Work Days

For most of us, traveling is not just a task but a way of life. Resorts are eternal favorites for any traveler during any season. It was 18^th August 2018; an excursion on the outskirts of Jaipur was planned, on occasion of Konstant’s annual picnic. Think of Achrol Niwas and we instantly get a reminiscence of Luxury Villas Resort, aggrandized with Rajasthani grandeur. The magnanimousness of the place gelled up with shades of recreational activities at the resort like Pool, Rain Dance, DJ and Live Band coupled with adventurous activities outside resort like Motosport park ride in gypsy, trekking, Tug of War, Zipline etc.  Amongst the major attractions were a welcome drink, meals, high tea and many more activities to choose from.

It was a feeling of anxiousness and ecstasy at the same moment when all of us collected at Konstant campus on Saturday – 18th Aug. In an impulse, we boarded bus and traveler and reached the destination within 40 minutes’ drive. Tapping feet to the music, dancing all the way around, when all of us collected there, we felt that hair got lighter, skin got a melanin tint, water was warmer, drinks were colder, music was louder, nights were longer and life got better. There was a certain allure about Achrol Niwas, a treehouse resort at Jaipur, which cannot be explained in words. Fringed on the periphery of Jaipur, the place seemed tranquilized. Serenely nurtured by Aravallis, the uninterrupted view of the fields gave a pleasant respite from chaotic city life. It was spread in around 7 acres of land across the vast sprawling, parallel to NH8. The villa has 40 rooms space decked up with courtyard, swimming pools, and balconies; everything was communicating a story, an emotion and a perspective of a destination.

While we were still trying to immerse ourselves into the regal heritage and the old world charm we were greeted with snacks followed by delicious lunch in the cafeteria premises. The food catered to all taste buds. Although the sun wasn’t merciful in the early hours of the day, the burden was released as soon as we were greeted by slight showers and pampering by the hotel staff.

Later we headed for tracking, safari, and zip-line outdoor activities. The skies were blue and the cotton candy clouds floated all around. It meant a lift in endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility followed by a rush of adrenaline down the veins.

While each of the gypsies was accompanied by a trained tribal naturalist along the closely- hatched rocky terrain, it was time to get off your fence and do some action. As the people were busy singing, yelling, snapping pictures and recording videos, it was a picturesque destination to take perfect selfies.

With the forest at your feet, steeping high up to the creek canopy adventure, experiencing a thrilling ride. Although it meant like stepping out of your comfort zone, it felt like a king on top, it was one of the most scenic and breathtaking zip-line adventure tours that we had.

As soon as we returned it felt as if we were nestled in an oasis of green. Having been greeted by catcalls and high tea, it prepared us for pool one more time. Everyone jumped into the water and enjoyed strokes and rain dance. Drenched in water, had to change clothes and get ready for the dinner followed by evening DJ party and a live band. Many people went on walking tours well past 8 pm to explore more about the place and have an exclusive experience and find some fun things to do in the blindfold impasses (cul de sacs). Finally, the party started and everyone was in high spirits. Grooving to the music, snacking and drinking to heart’s content, it seemed like a sempiternal evening.

Collecting moments, taking pictures, as soon as the next morning Sunday – 19^th August arrived, the team was greeted with a traditional hospitality coalesced with contemporary elegance. Pleased to manage the rhythm going into the closing stages everyone returned in the afternoon. Say yes to new adventures, can’t wait to go back.
