We’re looking for a AI Business Analyst
Job Description:
We are looking for an AI Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business requirements and AI-driven technology solutions. The role will focus on understanding client business processes, identifying suitable AI opportunities, defining functional and AI-specific requirements, and translating business needs into clear specifications for AI, engineering, QA, and design teams. The AI Business Analyst will work closely with clients, product managers, AI consultants, architects, developers, QA engineers, and designers throughout the project lifecycle-from discovery and requirement gathering through solution definition, development, testing, and implementation.
Requirements and Duties:
Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to understand business objectives, challenges, workflows, and pain points. Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for AI, automation, GenAI, RAG, conversational AI, computer vision, or intelligent workflow solutions. Translate business requirements into clear functional and non-functional requirements for AI-powered applications. Identify and document AI use cases, expected outcomes, inputs, outputs, dependencies, and business rules. Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria, and requirement specifications. Define AI-specific requirements such as expected model behavior, response quality, accuracy, context requirements, human-in-the-loop processes, and fallback scenarios. Work with AI architects and engineers to evaluate technical feasibility and translate business requirements into practical AI solution specifications. Collaborate with UX/UI and Product teams to define user journeys and workflows for AI-powered features. Work with QA teams to define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, business validation criteria, and expected AI behavior. Support AI proof-of-concept (PoC) and MVP planning by defining scope, business objectives, success criteria, and measurable outcomes. Analyze AI-generated outputs and validate whether they meet defined business requirements and user expectations. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate business-side validation of AI solutions. Document process changes and support clients and internal teams during AI solution adoption and implementation. Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and assumptions throughout the project lifecycle. Support project teams in prioritizing requirements based on business value, feasibility, complexity, risk, and time-to-market. Maintain requirement traceability and ensure alignment between business requirements, solution design, development, and testing. Stay informed about emerging AI capabilities and identify practical applications relevant to client business processes.
Skill and Ability:
3+ years of experience in business analysis, product analysis, software consulting, digital transformation, or a related role. Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and product development processes. Understanding of AI, machine learning, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, conversational AI, and AI-powered automation. Ability to identify and evaluate potential AI use cases based on business requirements and expected outcomes. Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, use cases, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. Strong stakeholder management and client communication skills. Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable specifications for technical teams. Understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and common software architecture concepts. Familiarity with AI-specific concepts such as prompts, model outputs, hallucinations, RAG, embeddings, AI agents, and human-in-the-loop workflows. Experience working with development, QA, UX/UI, product, and architecture teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple requirements and projects in a client-facing delivery environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on AI/ML, GenAI, automation, SaaS, or digital transformation projects. Experience with AI use-case discovery, AI readiness assessments, or AI consulting engagements. Familiarity with AI evaluation, model limitations, responsible AI, and AI governance concepts. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, FigJam, Figma, or similar collaboration tools. Experience working with clients across multiple industries. MBA, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline. Certification in Business Analysis, Product Management, Agile, or related areas is a plus.
