A Day Dedicated to Smash It Konstant 2025 (TT Tournament)

TT Toutnament 2025 - Because a racket roars louder than code!

It was not just the first weekend of April, but the sequence of events that followed had a massive impact on our mental and physical health. It is so easy to overestimate the importance of one defining moment and underestimate the value of making minor improvements daily. When we convince ourselves that we need to put in the legwork to achieve that success, whether it is losing weight, building an empire, writing a book, and winning a game, we put pressure on ourselves to make some earth-shattering improvement that everyone will discuss.

Yes, we too felt the pressure. The air was energized and heavy around this time of the month. While HR’s negotiated the dates, they finalized just a few weeks back. And by that time we had a handful of enthusiasts, who no – matter – what showed their A – game on the table. We don’t remember anyone was nervous though, first timers did had their inherent fears about the course of the game.

Like Mondays that hit a bit differently, after a rested mind, and body, Weekends are no different, with a restlessness to rush back home, reset and recharge. They are slower than other days of the week – no team huddle, no manager nudging you. You set the tone for the week and hold yourself to it.

Working 9:30 to 6:30, Monday’s are predictable – check emails, catch up on updates and pending tasks, get to work. It feels safe and comfortable.

Then comes a sudden outbreak of unpredictability, a nervous breakdown, a piercing news that creates chill down the spine.

HR’s did that this time, infusing an enthusiasm, shattering the monotony with the news of conducting Smash It_Konstant_2025 ( TT Tournament) on the first Weekend of April 2025.

It was completely on the will of the employees to choose the challenge over comfort. Sitting on their desks and code, scroll, chat, draw, email would have been easier than to prove oneself in front of a lavish audience, defend the smashes, spins, strikes, and blasts of the ball, navigating through the boisterous cheers, occasionally groove with the vibrant atmosphere.

Whether people played, cheered, or helped make it all run smoothly, they turned out to be great sports. Such activities not only refresh us but also build stronger bonds among team members — that makes us revere Konstant.

So, how did it go?

Four captains were selected based on a lucky draw. Captains picked their team members in round robin draw. Once the teams were set, captains named their doubles team and selected singles participants for the battles ahead. Then those four captains spearheaded their teams, picked one name, and then players respectively in a quick auction. A few brave hearts betted upon the newcomers, first timers – who were new to the game, new to the arena, and had never played a formal match before. Hats off to them. Some players had played before but wanted to try their luck, playing from the junior squad.

The Build-Up: From Code to Court

What started off as a casual HR experiment to break the corporate monotony turned into a fiery battleground of grit, grace, and game face. Players ditched their keyboards for rackets, PowerPoint slides for forehand flicks, and sync calls for smash rallies. Four fearless captains were chosen via lucky draw — each entrusted with building their mini-army:

  • Pankaj Asudani
  • Karan Bisht
  • DD Agarwal
  • Akash Singh

In a thrilling round-robin selection and auction-style pick, teams were formed with a mix of veterans and first-timers — a real gamble of intuition and team spirit. What followed was a rollercoaster of reflexes and resolve.

Game On: The Team’s Unleashed

The arena saw four colorfully named tribes enter the ring:

  1. Smashers – Led by Neeraj, Prakash & Tarun
  2. Blasters – Featuring Ravindra, Vipin & Lokesh
  3. Strikers – Powered by Pradeep, Arti & Neeti
  4. Spinners – Commanded by Vishwas, Sandeep & Hitesh

From the first bounce, every game was fought point by point, breath by breath. First-timers like Neeti, Vipin, Lokesh, Tarun showed nerves of steel, while crowd favorites like DD and Akash gave out coaching tips and rallied their troops like seasoned generals.

Categories of the Competition

  1. Doubles Championship (Winner, runner – up)
  2. Singles Senior Champion (Winner, runner up)
  3. Singles Junior Champion (Winner, runner – up)

Highlights From The Table

Doubles Drama

When DD Agarwal paired with Vishwas Sharma, it felt like destiny. Their chemistry on court was electric — cross-court returns, synchronized footwork, and clinical finishes. They powered their way past every pairing and snatched the Doubles Championship, defeating Karan Bisht & Neeraj Gurjar in a final that had every rally drawing gasps and groans from the crowd.

Winners: DD Agarwal & Vishwas Sharma
Runners-up: Karan Bisht & Neeraj Gurjar

Senior Singles Showdown

The Singles (Senior) category was pure table tennis theatre. Akash Singh brought brute force and daring dives. But it was DD Agarwal, dominated with smart serves and spine-chilling spin. The final saw DD outclass Akash in straight sets, mixing flair with finesse.

Winner: DD Agarwal
Runner-up: Akash Singh

Junior Singles Stunner:

In a surprise twist, Neeraj Gurjar — young, agile, and blazing with ambition — made his mark. He outpaced his seniors, ducked smashes, and flipped tables (figuratively!) with his counterattacks. He clinched the title against Pradeep Kr Yadav, who himself fought valiantly.

Winner: Neeraj Gurjar
Runner-up: Pradeep Yadav

More Than Just a Game

This wasn’t just about who won or lost — it was about people stepping up to challenge their comfort zones. First-timers found applause instead of anxiety. Seniors cheered on the juniors. Colleagues became teammates. And Konstant’s culture soared.

Breaks were filled with DJ beats, high-fives, match replays, snacks, and impromptu cheering squads. HR outdid themselves not just in organizing but also in building a community around competition.

A Win for All

On a weekend morning when silence usually seeps into every cubicle, Konstant’s HQ transformed into a thunder dome of smashes, spins, serves, and surreal sportsmanship. April’s first weekend — usually reserved for unwinding, laundry, or leisurely Netflix — witnessed HR shaking up the system with a surprise announcement: the Smash It_Konstant_2025 Table Tennis Tournament was ON!

When the dust settled and the last point was won, everyone walked away with something — whether it was a trophy, a pulled hamstring, or a new nickname earned over epic rallies. It was a testament to what happens when people show up with heart and hustle.

Here’s to more Weekends that smash the norm. Game’s on. Culture’s strong. Team Konstant, you nailed it!!
