I am the co-founder and head of partnerships at Diskova, an application that offers users discounts on travel and attractions.

Opportunity/Challenge

What challenge were you trying to address with Konstant Infosolutions?

We contracted with Konstant Infosolutions to build our application.

Solution

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our application enables users to visit restaurants, hotels, and other attractions and take advantage of exclusive promotional offers through the app. Konstant Infosolutions picked up the development of our app from a different provider. Despite that vendor building a somewhat functional product, there were considerable flaws, and we needed to make a change. Once we engaged with Konstant Infosolutions, the first task was to combine our applications. We had two apps—one for consumers and one for establishments. We found that it’s not user-friendly to have to download two apps from the same company. We chose to combine the merchant dashboard with the consumer version, which meant adding login options for both parties. They further developed the internal elements of the application until it was ready for market. The app was built using Ionic 3 and is available for iOS and Android.

We worked with one project manager and a team of developers.

How did you come to work with Konstant Infosolutions?

Before beginning work with Konstant Infosolutions, we had an unfulfilling engagement with a different vendor. We ended that engagement and began a search for a new developer. I found favorable Konstant Infosolutions reviews online. They were more expensive than other providers, but I felt the most comfortable with their team. They seemed to be very interested in our objectives.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $11,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May–November 2018.

Results & Feedback

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have launched in the App Store and the Google Play store, and we have about 550 registered users so far, so we’re on the right track. We now need to focus more on the marketing side rather than the product side because the product seems to be running well. We’re very happy with our experience with Kontsant Infosolutions.

How did Konstant Infosolutions perform from a project management standpoint?

It was sometimes easier to speak directly to the developers rather than through the project manager, because sometimes our messages or feedback wouldn’t be relayed appropriately. But we largely operated without any drastic miscommunication issues. Otherwise, it’s notable that they want the product to be perfect from their side. They were comfortable suggesting methods that would better achieve our objectives.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Despite the time differences between our locations, they were strong communicators. Their developers are quite skilled, but their communication was fundamental in our relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind as needing improvement. With any issue, they were quick to solve it. I think they’re one of the top providers in the market.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important with any vendor to be clear regarding the scope and the requirements. You never want to fall into a situation where tasks are assumed and then they are not accomplished. If you’re clear from the beginning, you avoid conflicts and extra costs.
