I’m a co-founder of an app.
We just developed an app for officials and tournament directors in order to connect with each other. Since we came up with the idea, they wrote the code and did all the app development work.
We gave them the wireframes and they were able to take the concept and put it into the application. They also developed a website for a way to control one end of the platform. The app is for the referees is on iOS and Android, while the website is for the directors. The app is developed for both iOS and Android. We gave them ideas on how we wanted it to look and the design elements we wanted to incorporate, then they provided the content and designed some of the icons we needed. When the new operating systems come out, we need to upgrade the app to be compatible. So we’re always making tweaks to it.
We communicated with one project leader, and they had a team that put it together.
We were working with another company that failed to develop the app. So, I did some more research and found Konstant Infosolutions online. I read a bunch of their reviews online and some of the projects they worked on, so I contacted them.
We’ve spent about $20,000.
The project started in April 2019 and it’s ongoing.
Everything they did and the ideas they brought to the project were excellent. Although the app is available, it hasn’t really been launched yet. To really get off the ground, we’re going to need people out there, using this app, and with the COVID-19 outbreak, that isn’t possible at the moment.
They’re in India and we’re in the US, so there was a huge time difference. We Skyped weekly, and it probably took a bit longer because of the time difference, but it still worked out well.
They have in-house ability to do a bit of everything, both on the app and web development side. We’ve had no problems, or at least, they were able to fix things super quickly. So, they have a lot of in-house talent.
Sometimes we’d go a bit without speaking, but once I sent them an email, they’d respond right away.
Have a realistic timeframe. Things evolve and are going to change, so consider that when coming up with a timeline.
