Background

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner and founder of an online platform that connects student musicians to colleges and vice versa. This platform is like a musical version of LinkedIn, destined for students and college directors in the musical field.

Opportunity/Challenge

What challenge were you trying to address with Konstant Infosolutions?

I was trying to find a company that could build my platform. I can build websites based on templates, but I didn’t know how to build a progressive web application that was functional both on desktop and mobile devices. I hired Konstant Infosolutions to help me with this project.

Solution

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, I emailed a sales representative lady from Konstant, who was my first point of contact. I spoke to her and laid out the whole project, and she walked me through the process and helped me understand their involvement. After we finished the introductions and I signed the contract, I worked with a business analyst person. He acted as the middleman between the project manager and me, and he took my notes and helped me tweak my ideas. Now, Konstant is developing my web and mobile app, and I have Zoom calls with the project manager and the business analyst when needed.

The business analyst from Konstant is my main point of contact, but I also contact the project manager when they’re available.

How did you come to work with Konstant Infosolutions?

I found them doing research online, and I found their reviews on Clutch.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent around $40,000–$44,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started talking to Konstant in March 2020 and signed the official contract in May 2020. I launched the platform on April 2021, and we've gotten feedback from my customers. As this is a new idea in my niche, people have different requirements, so we’re still working together, going through a couple of changes, and making a few tweaks as I’m learning new things.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Konstant was able to expand the fundamental concepts and principles of my business and create a platform that is easy to understand and digest for the consumer — that has been really helpful. Their understanding of graphics is great, and the layouts were very nicely done. Additionally, I liked how they incorporated my style into the platform. I had a Wix template on my main page, and Konstant studied it, adapted it, and was able to implement it. That was a very nice touch, and I appreciated it.

How did Konstant Infosolutions perform from a project management standpoint?

I really like Konstant’s collaboration on ideas. After going through a couple of calls and emails, they understood the project and tried to give me ideas to add to it and make it easier to understand for both sides of my target audience, which was very refreshing. In terms of communication, we use Skype and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Konstant’s collaborative process and understanding are great. They also understood the challenges in terms of budget. Last year, I wasn’t able to work for many months because of COVID-19. I was upfront about that, and they gave me discounts and better costs on different parts of the project. This made me feel that they really cared about it, which has been really refreshing. Their understanding blows my mind — they’re really helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Working with Konstant, I’ve faced a couple of issues that could be improved. First, their customer service is different compared to here in the U.S. If there is a mistake, which is understandable on occasion, there is a lot of back and forth that could be avoided to begin with. At times, their attention to detail could be improved by thoroughly reviewing emails and/or files, notes, etc. Finally, we’ve had a couple of issues with the timeliness of meetings but they improved over time.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you fully think through your idea. As this is my first time doing a project like this, there have been some things that I initially didn’t know. Thus, I’ve had to request a lot of changes on things that I thought would be included. Additionally, make sure that you get a project manager involved. Initially, the business analyst was my main point of contact, and some of my requirements got lost or misunderstood when he communicated them to the project manager. Since the project manager has been on the calls, they’ve understood my requirements better, and it all has been smooth sailing.
