Dec’19 Activities: Cognizing Importance of Financial Planning and Christmas

Gobbling up the monotonous routine, the December activities at Konstantinfo entailed a pattern and a ritual. Have a look!

We just stepped into fresh new decade/year with fresh new hopes. Needless to say, there might be people (from amongst us) who must have slept late on New Year Eve, some hung-over, others just enjoying their leisurely time off from work. A few days later, still in the first week of New Year, they’ll dread receiving their credit card bills, as there will ultimately be a reckoning of the large sums of money spent on gifts. Frustration will make them realize the financial crisis that they got into right at the onset of the New Year.

It seems most likely almost every individual would like to be financially secure. After all, it’s an uncomfortable position to always have to worry about paying your bills. It’s not just the money, it’s what having the money represents – the ability to take care of your loved ones, enjoying some travel and nice things and not having to worry about the bills.

Our society pushes people to consume products via lucrative advertisements that further brainwash us to accumulating things, buying expensive clothing, footwear or car designed by “right” designers and all sorts of stuff which will supposedly make us more attractive and happier.

Financial Planning Session

A good financial plan is a road map that shows us exactly how the choices we make today will affect our future. Almost everyone dreams of achieving satisfaction from their available finances and fulfillment of typical financial goals like home, car, travel, high-education for kids and getting those married; without forgetting self-sufficiency during working and retirement years.

Konstant encourages people to participate in retirement or 401(K) plans, putting large chunks of salary into investments and savings, making them cognize the concept of compound interest. Save money early on, interest will grow. To propel this, Konstant organized a session on financial planning in coordination with ICICI Prudential, setting objectives, types, process, and plan, acquainting staff to think, to learn, to create and to adapt about the power to produce with their resources, to be economically secure and financially independent. This was followed by Cult.fit and movie Voucher distribution.

Christmas Celebrations

We celebrated Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year, hand in hand, and heart to heart…it wasn’t just a one-day celebration, it’as a frame of mind that continues throughout the New Year. Have a look at itemized activity list:

Christmas Celebrations

Getting to know Santa’s Reindeers – (1) Dasher: The speed demon, (2) Dancer: The Salsa Phenom, (3) Prancer: The Fairest of Them All, (4) Vixen: the Most Enchanting Reindeer, (5) Comet: An All-Around Wonderful Reindeer, (6) Cupid: Loves Sharing Love, (7) Donner: Always a Party; who deliver gifts to all children in the world on Christmas Eve – we had our Santa Clause too, who distributed sweets, posed for pictures and even danced to entertain us all.

Starting off the festivities, everyone posed to be a secret Santa for someone – “A wiffin’, sniffin’ gift, especially for you, it’s from secret Santa, bet you can’t guess who!” – making it a point to find personal gifts for each recipient.

Long before the advent of Christianity, plants, and trees that remained green all year had a special meaning for people in the winter. In many countries, it was believed that evergreen would keep away witches, ghosts, evil spirits, and illness.

We cherished this thought and decorated our own Christmas Tree – it wasn’t as usual – every team had to select one of their team members and decorate him into a Christmas Tree.
