An Engaging and Gripping December First Weekend @ Konstant

Yes, we play for dairy milk and movie tickets. But that’s not the only motivation that makes us step up. Pumped? Let’s goooooo!

As we know, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are a set of quantifiable measurements used to gauge a company’s overall long-term performance. Allow us to tweak it a bit. We believe the real KPIs to be:

Keep people interested

Keep people informed

Keep people involved

Keep people inspired

Wondering what made us think that way? Employee engagement is a continuous process at Konstant Infosolutions. Gliding by, we have made it a practice to designate the first weekend of every month for team-building activities. Snacks are a lovely idea but here are 17 tips on how we show our team that – We Care.

  1. We start Mondays 30 minutes later.
  2. Encourage regular breaks.
  3. Managers do not schedule meetings during lunch.
  4. We frequently ask our staff if there is anything they need help with.
  5. Everyone encourages stepping up (walking meetings)
  6. Have social events that don’t revolve around drinks!
  7. Have a team meal.
  8. Get outside with the team – we aren’t meant to be stuck around our desks.
  9. Human Resources encourage teams to utilize their annual leaves.
  10. We trust our new hires, the day they start and do not make them prove it.
  11. Listen to our new starters – they will have a great lens on the current culture.
  12. Give back to the community, in whatever way it is possible. It fills everyone’s cup.
  13. Finish early when the weather is nice.
  14. We invite dissenting views and believe in amplifying quiet voices.
  15. Be patient (we’re working on this) everyone learns in different ways and at a different pace!
  16. Plus, we are trying hard to listen more, hearing what’s said. It’s noticing and surfacing what isn’t said.
  17. Moreover, we love people when they represent their department and themselves with a smile each day and every day! We like them more if they don’t allow the problems of the world to influence their thought process! We want them to be that positive light to help others get through their struggles!

Abiding by these practices, we unwrapped some crazy fun activities along!

Games @ Konstant

  1. Number Grouping: A group of 15+ members was arranged in a circle. They kept moving.  Occasionally HR called a number, For example, “three”. All members had to split and pair up in small groups of three. The ones who could not pair up had to leave the game. Next, HR called “four”. The remaining members had to split and pair up into small groups of four. The members who could not pair up had to leave the game. And so on. Now we learned that by creating a “mini” society, this group activity for adults naturally creates problems and challenges that force them to work together. The team quickly learned how others work, solve, and think outside of the typical work-related realm. This brought a new understanding of work-related projects that need solutions.
  1. Musical Chair: This game involves players, chairs, and music. Players (n), and Chairs were (n-1). Music was played and players had to march around the perimeter of the chair circle. When the music stopped, everyone was required to immediately sit in a chair. Any person left standing was out of the game. With every round, a chair was removed from the circle. And remaining participants followed the same process until two people were left with one chair. The one who occupied the chair was the winner. This game makes us learn the virtue of rapid adaptability. It makes us make the way through the tremendous pressure and confusion.

Lucky Draw Winners

We had two winners at the monthly wheel spin:

  1. Vishwas S.
  2. Prateek R.

Why Do We Look Forward to Such Meets?

Decide, Learn, Bond, Do – It’s easy to get caught up in the trap of thinking that we need to be good at everything we do. Being good is only half the battle. To really succeed in life, we need to focus on getting better. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about being good. It’s about being better than we were yesterday.

When we focus on getting better, we set ourselves up for success. We give ourselves room to grow and improve. And we become more resilient in the face of setbacks. Enforce kindness and healthy boundaries in the workplace. It takes a lot of secrecy, planning, a lot of hard work, and a lot of rehearsals to get it right.

To build a strong team you must see someone else’s strength as a complement to your weakness not a threat to your position or authority. Keep an eye on your future with your actions in the present. The first step is how you frame your goals, focusing on what you want to improve or develop over time. It’s not about lowering the bar, but rather giving yourself something to continually strive toward. Keep practicing, and stay happy!
